Been a goodly while since I made a post, here. As usual, that's because there's been nothing much going on that I feel anyone would be interested in. Heck, when I post something I *do* think people will be interested in, I don't seem to get much in the way of feedback or replies. Everyday stuff that I don't even expect to get replies? Why bother making the post?

Hm. Sorry. Didn't expect to start with a little mini rant, there.

So, let's see.

Turns out I did need a new computer. I used the gift cards to Best Buy that my brother's been giving me for my birthdays and Christmas for the last few years. I was hoping to use them to buy a flat screen TV this summer, but that was a desire, not a need. My current CRT TV is working fine; it just takes up space and doesn't have an HD picture. All combined, the cards paid for about half the computer. So, thanks, Ken!

Not much happened in November, except I ran across Mrs. Renfro's Ghost Pepper Salsa. OMG that's so good! I'm not usually a big fan of super-spicy, so normally this would be over my line. But most hot salsas are the same as the medium, just with extra kick. This, on the other hand, is just downright delicious. If you like hot salsas, definitely look for this one.

Also, I watched the latest Bond film, Skyfall. I agree with the critics: this will likely become a classic. It focuses so MUCH on Bond himself — his life, his history, and so forth. I predicted a few elements in the film, butsaying what would, in most cases, be a spoiler, and I enjoyed the film anyway.

And now for the other thank-you. It seems, only two month after the last car repair, that another cropped up. This one was cheaper than the first, but not by much. Only $800 instead of $1000. Ow. Ow ow ow. With everything else that I spent money on this year — not all of it forcibly, I'll admit — this really, really hurt.

And then Fox, my roommate and landlord, comes into my room and offers to waive the rent this month, because of my financial stresses. I turned it down out of reflex; I have my pride, and, frankly, I didn't think I'd done anything to *deserve* what is essentially a several-hundred-dollar gift.

But... on thinking about it, I think pride will bow to financial realities. I'm going to take his offer.

Thanks, man. Thanks.
